The Australian Classic Scooter Mille is an annual event for riders of classic geared scooters (no modern autos). A genuine test of both rider and scooter, it is held in a different state each year and comprises 2 days riding and navigation over 500-kms a day, all without GPS assistance.
The Mille was to be held in Tasmania but has been postponed till 2021. Members and Mille tragics Michael King and Craig Trimble approached the club to help organise a Mille-like event in Victoria this year.
Not the Mille 2020 will leave Melbourne Airport early in the morning and cover 1000 kilometres of Victorian country roads over the next two days. Wednesday's overnight stop will be in Sale and Thursday's in Mansfield. A presentation brunch on Friday is followed by a leisurely ride back to Melbourne in the afternoon.
This event is for experienced (fully licensed) riders who have sufficient stamina for 8-10 hours in the saddle each day and enough mechanical knowledge to get a scooter going again after a breakdown. A support van will sweep the course behind the ride. So if you want to challenge yourself to prepare and ride a classic scooter on an unusual scenic and rewarding reliability tour. Not the Mille 2020 might just be the ticket.
Event subject to Victorian COVID-19 restrictions. More detailed information <here>

Thanks Julie, and you need to get yourself going in case of a breakdown so some mechanical knowledge about your scooter would be essential.
Don't be so quick to judge David!
You are such a tease Michael. I can't wait to see the elevation profile for Day 2. Rather flat I suspect.
