Ride Max is 20 people

Social distancing applies at all stops

Meet at McDonalds, Bacchus Marsh , ready to leave @ 10:30am. Fuel up on coffee & petrol then take the scenic route to Ballan, via Myrniong & Greendale, and on to Creswick, where we will stop for a wander and lunch. Loads of space for scooter parking. Fuel is available, if required.

Melb departure Point leaving 9.15 am.
Caltex Service Station, Cnr Little Boundary and Pipe Roads, Laverton North VIC 3026. This is our western meet spot - a 24 hour Servo with food and coffee available on site. No need to fill, as we'll fuel up in Bachus  before joining the 10.30 Bachus Marsh departure. MAP > Caltex meeting point

After our lunch stop, we'll return to Ballan along the Old Melbourne road, via Bungaree, Wallace & Gordon, then on to Bacchus Marsh, following the railway line above the Weribee Gorge. Sadly, there's not much opportunity for viewing the gorge.

Refuel at Bacchus Marsh before parting company for home.

Open to all scooters & riders. 150km round trip on quiet country roads, just one short freeway sprint of about 2km as we're coming out of Bacchus Marsh to get onto the "old" Myrniong road.

The route may vary, depending on the weather.

NOTE

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, participant limits will apply to 20 people.

Please pre-register/confirm so that numbers and restrictions can be confirmed

Fabulous turn out for your ride Darren and thank you so much for organising it.  I's with David, I loved seeing all the different farm animals wondering what the heck they were looking at and then bolting or running in the paddocks with us... although the little fluffy dog that ran across the road in front of Greg who had a 4 Wheel drive right up his rear was extremely lucky he is alive today...that was a scary sight to see in my mirror.

A promise well kept: riding Westwards, splendid winter weather and a wander in areas rarely visited. Thanks Darren for finding us those great roads. Loved seeing all the farm animals and their reaction to our Vespas.

I have just done a recce on most of the route and I can confirm that there are no gravel sections apart from some roadworks, but they should be completed by the time we go through. It's only a very small bit anyway.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, I'm not 100% certain of what lunch options will be available when we get to Creswick. However, there are take away places in Creswick that are open. If in doubt, bring a picnic! :-)
