This event is for classic and modern geared bikes - and there are over 50 members of the Vespa Club of Melbourne with classics, and many more with geared bikes. This is an invitation from The Wild Dog Scooter Club who are organising the rally. It would be great if we were solidly represented. Details about registration and participation below.

Note: What is a 'classic' scooter for this event? We work according to the VicRoads definition which is 25+ years. But we have been advised by the organisers that this event is open to any geared Vespa, whether it is old or new. A new 2013 PX can attend(?).  So it is a geared scooter event... work it out for yourself and go with it if you are comfortable.

Valentines Day 2014

The Wild Dog Creek Scooter Club would like to invite you and classic scooter riders from your club to attend the ‘MAD MAX RALLY’, the 2014 Victorian Classic Scooter Rally.

The rally will be an evening in Melbourne on Friday February 14^th followed by an overnight ride-out to Country Victoria on Saturday the 15th, returning late afternoon Sunday.

This will be in the style of old school Aussie Rallies with an emphasis on camping, riding and just hanging out. As such there will be no show and shine, prizes, DJ’s or sponsorship.

All we want is for you to come along, ride and enjoy the company of like minded Classic Scooterists.

Friday Night’s event will be a casual get-together in Melbourne including a screening of our theme movie, ‘Mad Max’.

Saturday will be a ride through western Melbourne via numerous movie locations. There will be a BBQ/Picnic lunch provided ending with an overnight stay in Clunes.

Sunday will be a leisurely ride back to Melbourne via Gold and Spa country roads with a stop in Daylesford for lunch.
