INTERACTIVE BALI MAP _ ENJOY

This ride is posted an an event, but  is currently closed to the 9 riders who have already committed.

Others can still express an interest here, and if a place becomes available we will let you know.

We are leaving on May 12 Virgin Australia flight DJ4153., and returning on Thursday 23 May.

Virgin have a very good arrival time - 1.30 PM Bali time which will enable some time to settle and organise riding for the next day. The flight home arrives at midnight - which means straight to bed and OK the next day. If you want to stay longer or travel on, and book another return flight, that is OK and up to you.

Your RSVP on this event means a confirmation that you have agreement from the group to come along, and that you have actually purchased the departure flight.

If you book now, the return flight, by selecting the budget 'saver' fare, with carry on luggage only, is AU740.00 per person...... so do it now if you are coming! Later bookings will see the flight go over $1000.

Travel Insurance. This is an absolute requirement. You can purchase travel insurance through Virgin when booking your ticket for an additional $70. Whatever your purchase, please make sure that it includes  1.Motor Cycle Riding in Indonesia, and 2. Unconditional medical flight evacuation to Australia if needed. We will share all details of each other's bookings.

As I mentioned this morning to Charlie,
There is far too much music in Bali,
And altho' as a place its entrancing,
There is also a thought too much dancing,
It appears that each Balinese native
From the womb to the tomb is creative,
From sunrise till long after sundown,
    Without getting nervy or rundown,
They sculpt and they paint and they practise their songs,
They run through their dances and bang on their gongs,
    Each writhe and each wriggle,
    Each glamourous giggle,
    Each sinous action,
    Is timed to a fraction.
And altho' all the 'Lovelies' and 'Pretties'
    Unblushingly brandish their titties,

The whole thing's a little too clever
And there's too much artistic endeavour!

    Forgive the above mentioned Charlie,
I had to rhyme something with Bali.

    Free-Wifi.jpg

Being tourist oriented, there is free wi fi just about all over the island. Even the smallest hotels and cafes will offer free wi fi to their guests. As a result internet cafes are becoming few and far between.

So if you want to stay connected, then bring your iphone, ipad etc with you. I will be taking a small notebook.

I would recommend premium (No.1) arak and sprite.

I know a good place in Amed to refuel.
