What a beautiful ride! Through some backroads to Yan Yean,stopping at Flowerdale, Strath Creek, the view over Murchisons Gap, Broadford, Kilmore. Found a nice back road with a short section of gravel - but recently graded - and some rural industrial rust too.
This is a loop ride starting in Eltham visiting Yan Yean, Flowerdale via Kinglake (beautiful ride) Broadford for lunch, and a cup of tea in the old tea rooms at historic Kilmore. I have a fast back road route back to Sth Morang for a final afternoon beer. Come along! Get those cobwebs out of your pipes. Suitable for all riders and bikes, but at the moment there's Sunday highway - and that means some 100 kph stretches. I will be doing a recce ride this week to find some more interesting side roads... so watch this space for extra good things. Don't miss out.
Meet at our usual place in Eltham Cafe Zen Zen (MAP) from 8.30 am for breakfast. Depart at 9.30 AM

Recce drive today and glad I did it. The road to the Murchison's Gap lookout is a muddy pot holed mess, so we won't stop there. And Dry Creek Road - the dirt road between Broadford and Kilmore - is also now so badly corrugated it's not ride able. Pity! But still see you there.
As long as you can do around 90kms you should be fine Ray.
