What
Silent Sight Street Classica is on again this year. It is a chance to display your beloved Vespa along with other classic and prestige European motor vehicles in a public street festival. Enjoy a fun day out. Take in the vibe of the delightful historic multicultural inner-city streetscape of Moonee Ponds. Check out the cars, browse the shops, lunch and chat with your club mates.

Puckle Street will be closed off for this event. In keeping with the theme of “classica” the organisers would particularly like to see older classic Vespas at the event. Scooters from the 1950s-70s will be very much appreciated. However modern Vespas are also welcome. Because of its iconic styling, many people assume our modern scooters to be much older than they actually are.

If you and your Vespa can help out, please register your interest on this event page. Last year we had 10 members who displayed their Vespas. If we have sufficient numbers then we will participate as a club rather than as individual entires. This is the best option as we will be allocated our own display spot as a group. Last year we met off site and rode into the event together (to be finalised). Club participation and/or vehicle nominations need to be registered by 31 October so stayed tuned into this event page. While there is no mandatory fee to display your Vespa, each vehicle must be registered for the event.

For a Good Cause
Street Classica will raise money for a good cause. Silent Sight was founded by Stephen and Stephanie Simone to raise funds for critical research into treatments and cures for those impacted by Usher Syndrome. Their children, Francesco and Vincenzo, were born completely deaf. Usher Syndrome has already robbed them of their hearing and balance. They will begin losing their vision in primary school, ultimately leading to complete blindness. There is currently no treatment or cure for the blindness caused by Usher Syndrome. Your support for this event will help ensure their faces never have to become just a memory to each other.

Raffle Prize
This year’s raffle prize is a brand-new Subaru Forester MY26 Hybrid valued at over $50,000 drive-away! Participants are welcome to buy a raffle tickets or donate to the cause. All donations will be gratefully received.
