What
Silent Sight Street Classica is a chance to display your beloved Vespa along with other classic and prestige European motor vehicles in a public street festival. Enjoy a fun day out. Take in the vibe of the delightful historic multicultural inner-city streetscape of Moonee Ponds. Check out the cars, browse the shops, lunch and chat with your club mates.
This is the first time in 25 years that approval has been given to partially close off Puckle Street for this inaugural event. In keeping with the theme of “classica” the organisers would particularly like to see older classic Vespas at the event. Scooters from the 1950s-70s will be very much appreciated. However modern Vespas are welcome too. Because of its iconic styling, many people assume our modern scooters to be much older than they actually are. If you and your Vespa can help out, please register your interest on this event page.
For a Good Cause
Street Classica will also raise money for a good cause. Silent Sight was founded by Stephen and Stephanie Simone to raise funds for critical research into treatments and cures for those impacted by Usher Syndrome. Their children, Francesco and Vincenzo, were born completely deaf. USHER SYNDROME has already robbed them of their hearing and balance. They will begin losing their vision in primary school, ultimately leading to complete blindness. There is currently no treatment or cure for the blindness caused by Usher Syndrome. Your support for this event will help ensure their faces never have to become just a memory to each other.
