The Club and Vespa Australia are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Vespa Motor Scooter with style and sophistication at a beautiful venue located exactly where they arrived in Melbourne.
Co presented with Vespa Australia. It's not a Ball this year - it's a 'Soiree', so there's no need to book a table. The ticket price includes your 1st drink, some of the 800 canapés, desserts and tea & coffee. Full bar service is available to help your moves on the dance floor.
We're hoping to see as many of you there as possible, and it's open to everyone involved in the scooter scene. Come along and celebrate Vespa - dinner, special guests, DJ, dancing, and a beautiful view across the Bay.
The ticket price is subsidized by Vespa Australia and the Club - so there is great value for the evening.
S6 on Station Pier
On the water’s edge in Port Melbourne, sitting on the iconic Station Pier, it's a most unique venue. Spirit Station Pier is a circa 1930 building – formally a pier kiosk & waiting room for passengers boarding the paddle steamers in the 1930’s. The venue has been redeveloped to cater for functions. A highlight of the evening will be watching the departure of the Spirit of Tasmania just outside the venue.
Ticket $45
Original 1957 Vespa Club members $38. We want to see you there! If it's still too expensive for you, then please contact us!

One more sleep.... If you want to come by public transport then the 109 tram from the city will bring you right down to Port Melbourne with a little walk to the venue.... Don't forget your tickets to get your free drink at the bar. Put on your dancing shoes and we look forward to a fabulous night with you all....
Looking forward to when the Scooter Soiree/Ball will be held in Geelong, then will definitely ride Scoot to the do :-). Just did the night run back on the freeway in the rain & wind and in the dark and alone - glad to still be alive!
Hi there
The theme is 40s if you want to dress, otherwise 'smart casual' semi formal' is just fine.
Parking will be limited around the waterfront station pier area due to the loading of the Spirit of Tasmania, and is heavily metered even if got a park there. Try the other northern side of Beach Street.
Of course there's plenty of free scooter parking right outside the venue!
I'm sure I read somewhere about parking in the vicinity as well, but can't find it on this post - what is the parking around the area for 4 wheeled vehicles coming from G'Town please? Thanks
ditto ... would also like to know, thank you
I'm sure I read somewhere about the dress code for the evening - but can't find it now! Just checking what we need to wear!
We have very limited tickets left now so if you haven't bought yours yet, please do so as soon as possible. We will have to cap the numbers very soon.
Thanks John and Wendy... we are looking forward to seeing you for another big night. And we are close to sell out too.
