This is from the website. Open to all types of scooters!
The rally will be based in Renmark, South Australia. Renmark is is 256 kms from Adelaide, 679 kms from Melbourne, 1154 kms from Sydney, and 938 kms from Canberra. For the hardarses, it's 1795 kms from Brisbane, 3118 kms from Darwin, and 2786 kms from Perth.
As in previous years, all types of motor scooters will be welcome – geared or auto, vintage or contemporary.
Rally packs will be available for collection from Sharon, in cabin 5 at the Big4 Renmark Riverfront holiday park http://www.big4renmark.com.au/, from Thursday afternoon onwards. Rally patches and stickers can be posted out ahead of the rally, but you will still need to pick up your rally pack at Renmark, as it will contain rally info, maps and other goodies.
I have obtained a group discount with the Big4 Renmark Riverfront holiday park under the group name SCOOTER RALLY 2016, and reserved a block of adjacent two bedroom riverfront cabins which will sleep 4 adults plus 2 children for the nights of 1/2/3 April. Please phone the park direct on 1300 664 612 and say you are with the SCOOTER RALLY 2016 group to book your accommodation. If you want to arrive early and/or leave earlier than these days, they can accommodate that.
A rough itinerary as at December 2015:

Saturday 2nd: Another rideout for lunch.
In the afternoon, the show and shine will held at a location to be announced.
In the evening, more music in the Renmark Hotel’s function room, plus the Rally awards.
Sunday 3rd: A rideout plus the gymkhana (to be confirmed). Later, a catered BBQ at the holiday park, where any awards resulting from the gymkhana will be presented.

Beth and I are planning to go, but haven't worked out travel details yet. It's the middle of school holidays for those interested.
Note that it's roughly 700km from Melbourne

We are so lucky to have met you Rolf and wish you all the best in representing the VCoM at this rally along with the others who are attending. Greg and I will be in Cambodia at this time so will be hoping that the Best Vintage Scooter prize is picked up by one of you from afar..
I'm looking forward to this one. It was three years ago this week that I went to my first national scooter rally and met the wonderful Vespa club crew!
