And for something a bit different tonight - come along to the cinema and watch the movie that started it all, and started our love affair with the Vespa - the Audrey Hepburn 1953 classic 'Roman Holiday'
Come along to the iconic Astor Theatre - a 1930's art deco 'picture palace' and one of the few remaining single screen cinemas in the world. Also home to resident cat Marzipan, and the best choc tops in Melbourne!
This is a double feature, screening with another Hepburn classic 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'
- Breakfast at Tiffany's screens first at 7.30pm;
- Roman Holiday follows at approximately 9.50 pm.
Come for one or for both (this is a double feature so you get both movies for the price of one!)
Ride your scooter (preferred parking spot to be advised) or catch public transport.
Comments
For those coming along - the best scooter parking is opposite the theatre (on Chapel street) out front of the church building. We'll meet in the downstairs foyer at around 7.15pm.
JB - I sure will bring those straps - glad you are coming along!
Alas..again..still occupied..writing a course on pharmacology and associated administration. But, l have an out with this one...l have my own copy of this film on DVD....so perhaps whilst writing up the precautions one must observe when administering S11 , S8 and S4 level medications..and whilst having a glass of white wine..l could also watch the film...all Vespa riders are good at multi-tasking...the results could be a MOST interesting programme in medication administration...so see you all on the flip side...whilst l flip out with white wine and watching Roman Holiday and simultaneously analysing the contraindications of morphine and paracetamol ! Keep up right...Pancrazio Toooooooooooot Hic, and Tooooooooot Hic again ! x x
