    Excellent thanks Ian
  • I've also added this as a separate event so people can indicate if they are coming or not.
  • Here's Sunday's ride for anyone who wants to join in:

Anne and I did it a few weeks ago and it's a lot of fun. In short, it starts with a cruise through Yarra Blvd, then out through Hurstbridge then Kinglake (coffee?), Healesville (lunch?), Yarra Glen and back through Eltham.

    It's not a huge ride. 150km.

There are some slightly testing parts, particularly as you ride up the hill into Kinglake. It's twisty and narrow so some confidence is needed.

The ride down through Toolangi and into Healesville is a dream. And coming back out of Yarra Glen over the hills is a bit steep.

Can't remember exactly but there are couple of short 100kmh stretches, particularly between Healesville and Yarra Glen but it's not that long.

Since many people are busy this Sunday, we (Greg, Julie, Anne and me so far) can do it for a practice run after breakfast and then it can be a group ride at a later date. But anyone is very welcome can join us this Sunday of course!

Ok no probs hopefully they do that?
  • I thought I'd let Ian or Anne copy the post over in their own name. I'm happy to do it if required. Just thought it be good for it to be under their own names.
