The International Female Ride Ride (IFRD) is a global campaign for women motorcyclists who own, ride, or have access to a motorcycle.  The day invites women to “just ride!”.

By participating and riding at this worldwide, united and synchronised event, women underline and demonstrate their passion, ability and enthusiasm for this exciting activity.  Women participants in the event contribute to the activity by building awareness of female motorcyclists and motorcycling in general.

The International Female Ride Day demonstrates to others the fun and enjoyment females of all backgrounds share in this wonderful activity of motorcycling!

This year the VCoM will recognise the International Women Riders day because we have so many women members in our club.

It would be great to hear that you rode to work today but also it will be wonderful if you can join us for a short ride tonight.

Melbourne ladies and partners:

Meeting at the Abbotsford Convent from 6pm departing 7pm for a ride across to renowned Acland Street, St Kilda for a coffee and cake.  Hope to see lots of our women riders attend.

Geelong Ladies and partners: It would be great if you could get together for a short ride to celebrate in unison.

So sorry to miss you Lisa. A long que at Lentil held us up. Waiting almost an hour in the cold was a bridge too far. Until next time x

I waited from 7.25 to 8.15. Way too cold to hang around any longer. Hope you had nice coffee and cake. See you all soon

I have now reserved a table for 10 at Lentil as Anything at the Abbotsford Convent.  This is a very popular vegetarian cafe due to its quirky pay by donation system.

It will be $15 a head (you can pay more if you really like it) and they will hold a table for us.  It is a banquet style of 8 lovely dishes.

Member Tracy is a big fan of Lentil as Anything and highly recommends it but you need to get there to beat the rush.

There will be local music playing also so come along kick back enjoy a good meal and great company.

    Our restaurants: how it works

    1. Come to one of our restaurants for lunch or dinner or even breakfast at Abbotsford convent and in St Kilda (see ‘contact us’for details on opening times)

    2. Choose what you’d like to eat

    3. Enjoy a delicious meal, have a chat, listen to some music in a warm community space

    4. Reflect on your feeling and decide how much you want and can contribute to this unique experience, and put some money in one of our magic boxes in the restaurant (EFTPOS also available at all our restaurants).

Be part of a unique financial model that is centred on the values of trust, generosity and respect that gives people the opportunity to eat out and be social regardless of their financial situation. Why do we do this? Because Everyone has a right to feel valued and respected, money should help bring people together not divide us.

We would love to welcome you as part of our community. We extend our hospitality offering you vegetarian cuisine cooked with love and gratitude. Our unique financial model relies on your generosity in order to pay our rent, utilities, wages and stock.

See you Friday and please register under the event.  ALL WELCOME.
