  • Location: Greendale

We've closed this event at 15 - and we're booked in for lunch. A beautiful ride to Greendale and lunch at the old country pub. This ride is really a circuit around Werribee Gorge and the quiet roads and beautiful rolling hills west of Bacchus Marsh. If it was Autumn we could stop at the Sunflower farm here, but that's for next year!. We've designed this ride to be fairly short (approx 150ks round trip, give or take the ride leader sudden discretion) so there's no pressure, and time for stops to enjoy places you may never have seen before!  Bring your camera.

Meet Ampol Foodary Servo, Lt Boundary Rd, Laverton / Brooklyn. For our usual quick city escape route. The Servo has coffee and take away food, but reccommend you breakfast at home. < Map > Departing at 9.30 AM sharp

Bacchus Marsh. We'd like everyone to refuel / top up here, at the BP Servo when we first hit town. That will mean everyone gets home without another stop. We'll also phone through our lunch meal order from here. Have you read the menu and know what you want? Greendale Hotel Menu.pdf

Then it's that beautiful Pentlands Hill Rd to Myrniong and Greendale.

10160013268?profile=RESIZE_400xWe' ll stop for a view at Werribee Gorge,  and Pykes Creek Reservoir for pics. Have you seen the Half Church?

The Greendale pub is a wonderful old thing. We'll have lunch there at approx 12.30, but you must pre order your main meal so that it's ready for you when you arrive. Sunday is busy, and we can't afford to get bogged down time wise there. Your order will be phoned through from the stop at Bacchus Marsh. Here is the Menu - please decide what you want. Greendale Hotel Menu.pdf

10160013488?profile=RESIZE_400xThe way home will be Ballan and the wonderful Ironbark Rd to Bacchus Marsh, to thread our way back to Melbourne.

Suitable for all Vespa and rider experience. It's a back roads tour, but there is a short 1km unavoidable stretch on the Western Highway out of Bacchus Marsh. Your Vespa needs to do as close as possible to 100 kph, but we'll look after you!

Route 150 kms on plotaroute
