It's Pako Fest in Geelong West today - street closure, multi-cultural event. Food stalls, music etc

If Melb folk planning to come to breakfast tomorrow want to check it out, get in touch - there's a spare bed at my place.

Leo and I have a ride organized following breakfast. We will need to keep moving from breakfast. Leaving the Edge we will head out of Geelong getting fuel near Bunnings in WaurnPonds Ponds. From there we will head out on the highway briefly before turning off to Moriac. From there we will head to Birregurra, then loop back to Deans Marsh for a break and coffee at the famous 'Martians Cafe' a popular stop off for motorcyclists of all persuasions. From Deans Marsh we will head back towards Moriac, before turning off and heading towards Anglesea, and then follow the Ocean Road, back to Torquay having a quick look at Point Addis, Bells Beach, Jan Juc and then Torquay for another break before heading back to Geelong. Distance is approx 140k. Ride is on country highways and travel speed on the open road will be around 80-90kph. Leo and I did the ride this morning and it took 3 hours with breaks. If you are keen to do this ride can you please indicate as when we were at Martians this morning they said that if we had significant numbers arriving they may put on extra staff for coffee service. This is an easy ride through some nice countryside, if Melbourne members would like to shorten the ride we can do that by simply going to Martians and then return to Geelong. We have another ride planned for the March or April meeting that would take us from Deans Marsh to Lorne and return home via the Ocean Road.
