The Victorian Scooter Riders Association calls upon all scooterists to join in on this ride organised by the Independent Riders Group. It should be a fun day with a ride to Seymour and then finishing at the Flowerdale Pub for a drink. Clubs riding together: The Vespa Club of Melbourne, The Melbourne Crusaders SC, The Lambretta Club of Australia, and Melbourne Scooter Connection.

Hume Hwy run - the Hume is a safe dual carriageway. The run speed will be controlled by a lead car, and it will suit all bikes on the ride. It will take about an hour of riding to get there. We will stop in Seymour for some speeches - followed by a great backroads ride to Flowerdale, and then to Whittlesea - don't miss it. I rode it on the dry run and it is fabulous. Looking at a VCM lunch in Whittesea or Sth Morang (?). This is a great opportunity to ride where you haven't ridden before.

Meet at Claudio's Minimo Cafe in Brunswick (ride past the Harley shop and cafe - give the boys a wave - and look for the Michelin Man) in the morning for breakfast and coffee, leaving at 9 AM for a short ride to the main assembly point in Epping. Smaller range bikes: you will need to refuel in Seymour.

Thank you Tufan for coming up from Geelong to do this very important ride.  And Remo I was thinking of your nephew as I rode.

It was a very successful day with approx. 200 riders and considering the weather that was a good turnout.  The rain didn't actually affect the ride until late afternoon.

Guest speakers were interesting and lets hope something constructive will come out of this event.  There will be more so please look out for dates, we would like everyone to take on board what this will mean for all riders in the future.  It will affect you so join us and be heard.

We had 10 riders today lets make it 20+ next time.

Thank you once again for those who attended and how lovely was the ride from Seymour to Whittlesea...definitely a club ride in the near future.

    Cheers Julie

Wish I could support this ride but too slow on the Hume. Here is an interesting reflection about a past motorcycle protest and a mention of a young Jeff Kennett who helped changed the law after experiencing a ride as a pillion passenger.

    Hi Jen

Yes not a problem, and yes you can carry the banner also...

See you Saturday and hope your shoulder is mending quickly...also how is your bike?  Sorry didn't get over on the weekend actually totally forgot I have to admit...but like I said even if you just turn it on and let it idle for a bit all will be well....

    Cheers Julie

    Hi again Julie

Can Kym and I come in the Smart as my wing is still clipped and in a sling? We could carry the club banner on the front of the car?
