Cranbourne offers a natural bushland experience alongside the Australian Garden, an award-winning, contemporary botanic garden celebrating the beauty and diversity of Australian landscapes and flora and featuring over 100,000 plants from 1,900 plant varieties.
The bushland has over 450 indigenous plant species and includes over 10km of walking tracks, six kilometres of cycling tracks, a lookout tower, picturesque shelters, barbecues and playgrounds.
It is a precious remnant of the vegetation that once covered the broader region and is actively managed to control the number of non-indigenous plants and exotic weeds.
If you have never been to this massive sister Botanical Garden to the Royal Botanical gardens then join us on Sunday.
We'll investigate booking the mini bus tour of the grounds too.

Ok thanks Noelene, see you there. :)
Hi Julie. I'll meet you at Edithvale station at around 0915---0930
I haven't booked the bus yet so any last minute attendees can jump on and mark their attendance.
I will however be booking tomorrow lunchtime.
If there is room you may still be able to get a place on the day if you miss my deadline.
Hi Julie. I would like to book for the bus tour please Sounds great I will meet you there
Ciao for now Tony
Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne. Never been there? We're riding there on Sunday on what promises to be a dry day. All members welcome to attend, and we're departing Port Melbourne at 9.00 AM. There's quite an amazing 'red sand' garden there.
Hi Julie. I would like to book for the bus tour. Sounds great
Think I have made it public now David. :)
Hi Julie. Any chance of making the plotaroute map public? With thanks, David
Thanks Julie, I dont think we can make it. See you next time
ETA around 10.45ish Oscar. After doing the recce ride today, the road to get to this place is a bit tricky but it is worth the trip.
As I need to book the mini bus that will take us on a 25 min tour of the large property, I need to ask that you register your attendance as I have to book the tickets online. This will be complimentary of the Club as ride support so please change your status if you have marked "interested" a.s.a.p. I will be booking the tickets on Friday COB.
Cheers Julie
