We need 20 bikes for this event, and maintain the numbers throughout the day as people come and go.

All members are welcome - a great day out with family, and your bike will be a feature at the entrance to the event. Classic bikes are especially of interest to the Italian community, so get yours out of the garage, and bring it along.

Incentive. The organisers will provide us with something in return - complimentary food and drink vouchers for the stalls there. No doubt, we will also retreat to one of the cafes near the event.

You will meet lots of people too - many conversations to be had about Vespa! Come along in the morning to be part of the grand arrival. You don't have to stay all day, and later arrivals are welcome too.

The initial group will leave together from the Abbotsford Convent at 10.30 AM - arriving at 11 AM. Come along for a coffee and ride up together. It would be great to have 20 bikes on this ride up to create a grand entrance. We will try to sustain a 20 bike display throughout the day as bikes come and go.

The event is being sonsored by Italian Chamber of Commerce, Italian Consulate, CAPI, Comites, CoAsIt, and some other Italian organisations, as well as being funded and heavily supported by the City Of Melbourne. This is the premier Italian event in Melbourne.

Carlton Italian Festa

Parking & Display. We will have pride of place to display our Vespas at the front main entrance to the event - on the concrete squares - facing Lygon Street. Entrance and exit is from Lygon Street. Our Vespas would be the welcoming entrance to the event, and form an 'avenue' for pedestrian entry.

We have the outside squares on either side of the entrance.

Coming and going.

Entry and exit will be via the footpath and then a diagonal cut across the lawn to the paved area to park. If you are coming later than the initial group (after 11 am) you will need to show security your VCM membership card.

Yes Tufan it was a great day for all those reasons....

Thank you everyone who joined in and displayed their vespa for this event.  It was great exposure for the club and it created some nostalgia for the older Italians in particular the couple holding hands having their photo taken in front of Lisa's bike at the end of the day...very cute...

    Cheers Julie

This was a great chance to catch up and chill with friends, spend time with new friends, and at the same time be told by strangers how beautiful our scooters were! I had a relaxed good day, thanks everyone! What a great club!

Will be great to have some members who we haven't seen for awhile join us on the day...looking like a bit turnout so we will discuss parking at the breakfast.

My scoot is also locked away with Stefan's at the Motorclassic event but I will wander over and say hi to all. Peter said he might bring his Faro Basso along.
