Join us for a Vespa celebration. A core group will ride right around the Bay on a tight schedule.  Along the way we'll meet and involve as many Vespa riders as possible. The ride will be organised, safe, and suitable for all bikes and speeds. First riders welcome.

Here is how you can participate.

  • Join the core group and ride the circuit.
  • Meet at one of the meeting points beforehand, have breakfast and say hello to the ride as it passes through.
  • Join the core group for one or more legs. The ride size will rubber band over the day.

There's a $10 levy on each rider, donated to our Cambodia project.

Thank you to everyone participating and contributing to a phantastic day. Ira, Rita, Andreas, Erika, Andreas and our neighbours enjoyed the visit of the VCOM today in Chelsea. It has been a phantastic ride. Great meeting so many riders.

Merry Christmas to all of you - see you in the new year.

Round the Bay Ride tomorrow. Congratulations to our members. Money raised from this ride will complete our project in Trakiet Village, Kompong Speu, Cambodia. Funds will be donated in person, in cash, to the Khmer Association For Development (KAD) in January. Have fun tomorrow, and feel good.

Sheryl you will be having breakfast at Garazzi in Yarraville, there is a menu posted on the previous page I think or under the thread.

We will only be stopping at St Kilda to collect money and tick off ferry riders then moving on.

Hi Tufan, will we (G'Town folk that is) still be pre-ordering our  big breakfast to have at the Blue Fig?

    Some final details and reminders.

    • Arrive at your selected meeting point well beforehand.
    • Be geared up and ready to go at the designated departure time.
    • Arrive at the destination point fueled up to get you where you want to go - we can't stop for individual riders.
    • The group will inevitably split up as we proceed through traffic lights along Beach Road. Don't worry, keep going straight ahead and look for corner markers.
    • The most important corners to mark will be the left turn at Chelsea, and the right turn to Mornington.

If you are riding around the Bay / crossing on the ferry.

    • Have a big breakfast. Lunch will be late and in Geelong at approx 2.30 pm.
    • You can snack on the way / and there is fast food on the ferry (not recommended)
    • If you are member the Club is bulk purchasing your ticket on your behalf.
    • If you have already purchased a ticket online, see Julie and you'll be looked after.
    • If you are a non member the cost is $30 for the ferry crossing. See Julie to be part of the Club bulk purchase.

Most importantly have a Vespa load of fun, enjoy the challenge, and bring your camera.

    Greg

Sorry I can't confirm yet but hope to join at StKilda and get to Sorrento. This year would be the LX (the ET4 %$# a drive belt last year) :)
