Cruisy midweek ride and day out for part timers, waggers and retirees. Easy ride from Geelong or melbourne to Werribee Zoo, Lunch at Shawdowfax winery and a stroll through the rose garden.
Admission for Zoo is, Adult $30.80, Concession $23.60, Seniors $27.70. Lunch at Shadowfax is around $20 for wood fired pizza and up to $30 for other meals. Rose garden is free.
Geelong crew to meet at Union Pickers cafe at 9.30am, taking a cruisy slow back route through Lara, Little River and Werribee.
Melbourne crew meet at BP Servo at Brooklyn on Princes Hwy at 10am, should only take 20mins to
get to Zoo. (Take the Werribee South exit to K Road.)

Was a great day with lots of laughs, yes the giraffes were a highlight. Next time Julie, apparently we have to go back for another look at the roses.
After my crap day at work I wish I had have taken a sickie and joined you guys, I could have done with a good laugh today...well done girls...
This was a hoot. Thanks to Ange and Nancy for organising. The zoo gained two new annual memberships, and I half suspect another two shortly. It was great fun. We were spoilt by the giraffes, a couple of adolescent males belting each other just a few metres away from the "bus", the rhinos and later the hippos. All good fun and quite a few laughs. Lunch was good and the rose garden despite apparently being better next week, was also impressive. It was truly a day to stop and smell the roses, which we do so infrequently!
Wanting to connect with some real rhinoceroses, not those ones on wheels

Got to take advantage of my flexibility whilst I am still a uni student! Although I might need to skip out a little early as I do have a lecture to get to by 3pm (it's my final lecture of the semester so iI really do have to be there!)
