Hi everyone,
After today’s adventure, if you’re already suffering from a little Vespa FOMO, here’s your chance to make up for it next Sunday!
There’s been plenty of interest in the Loddon Five Crossing Poker Run, so I’m leading a ride out of Melbourne next Sunday morning to meet up with our Bendigo crew in Castlemaine.
We’ll meet at the BP Service Station next to Calder Park on the Calder Freeway at 7:40 am, ready for an 8:00 am departure. We’ll be riding up the freeway together towards Castlemaine.
From there, we’ll join the Poker Run, enjoy some fantastic country roads, great company and lunch at Bridgewater before cruising back to Melbourne.
Yes, it’s going to be a big day in the saddle, but looking at the ride, it’s going to be well worth it!
Two rides, one day, plenty of kilometres and another opportunity to enjoy what VCOM does best — getting out, exploring Victoria and riding together.
So put the chores on hold, forget the excuses and get your name down!
And whatever you do, don’t find yourself suffering from FOMO for the second week in a row! 😎
Come along, enjoy the company, make a day of it and, most importantly, RIDE YOUR VESPA! 🛵
Who’s joining me?
This is what we are riding for

Hi all
due to forecasted weather we are cancelling this ride, and will circle back when the poker run is on.
Steve
Sorry guys, going to give this one a miss. My hip is still a bit sore, so I reckon it’s best to rest it up for the Rolling Hills Ride. Enjoy!
Hi Leo
No problems let me know

Hi Steve. I'll have to keep you posted on this one. My hip and leg were quite sore after Saturday's ride and even worse this morning, so I'll see how things improve over the next few days. Another option might be to ride up with you, stay overnight and then make my own way back on Monday.
Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the Festa today because of how I was feeling when I woke up, so I missed the chance to chat with Vespa Australia. It also looks like I've picked up another chip, although I'll need to give the bike a good clean and take a closer look once I can move properly. I'm starting to get a little concerned that, with the number of kilometres we'll be covering on this ride, the bike might end up looking like Swiss cheese by the end of it!
