Hi everyone

Officially posting this as an event, as advised to members by email, with the formal agenda.

This meeting is strictly financial members only.

Agenda:

https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/8484865864?profile=original alter the Rules Of Association to facilitate the Vespa Club of Melbourne Inc participating in the VicRoads Club Permit scheme for ‘classic’ bike registration, and to satisfy VicRoads requirements for recognition as a “Classic Car Club”.

In accordance with the Rules of Association (and because the agenda considers a change to rules) the Management Committee has called this Special General Meeting.

  • All members have been provided with 21 day notice of the meeting by email.
  • Only the items on agenda will be considered at the meeting. There will be no additional business.
  • Minimum attendance requires a quorum of 5 members. (Come along and have some dinner and a drink with us)
    • The SGM will be followed by a Management Committee meeting to talk about directions of the Club. Everybody is welcome, and for the agenda: there will be consultation with all of you over the next two weeks.

    Hi Craig

If your bike is over 25 years old it is regarded as 'classic', then  it qualifies for the cheaper club plate registration scheme (if the 90 day limit suits your riding lifestyle).

It's not for all bikes in the club of course, but may be attractive to some of our current members with older bikes, and prospective new members - particularly people with two or three old bikes in their garage.

Having read the vicroads requirements, it seems all registered vehicles need to be at least 25 years old to be 'vintage'. Do we qualify or is this a loophole that can be overcome?? suppose thats the purpose of the meeting!
