VCM Committee would like to invite all members to celebrate the modern Club's 10th Anniversary at a very special event. Silver (tin) being the theme! It was 10 years ago that the Vespa Club of Melbourne was revitalized, rebadged, and relaunched by a new group of riders. The rest is history, and we have a lot to celebrate.
Time: 11.30am – 3.30pm
Venue: Studley Grounds restaurant located at 121 Studley Park Road, Kew which overlooks the skyline of the city. Location Map
Cost: Members only $27.50 (That's a big subsidy by the club because we want you there!)
Non-members $60
It's one ticket per member. Members, if you want to bring your partner (who is a non-member) you'll need to purchase a separate ticket for that person under the 'Non-Member - Guest' ticket line.
A tenth anniversary? Yes, the original club formed in 1957. And the current club was officially reformed and registered in 2007. After a few quiet years the club was reinvigorated with a new wave of riders, and the new logo and online launch signaled a new era of friendship and riding. The success of the club inevitably inspired others and has led to the formation of a new Vespa Club of Australia.
We invite you to wear your best “Silver” adornment, and if you are riding please dress up your vespa to win a bottle of MOET Champagne!
There will be a generous 3 course meal, guest speakers, FOREVER ELVIS – Damian Mullin will be in the building to entertain you, and you must be at this event if you want to be in the Major Door prize “A VESPA” courtesy of Vespa Australia which will be drawn on the day. And a lot lot more as we get closer to the date.
There is a cap on attendance, so register and get your ticket as soon as possible.

Dear Member and ticket purchaser,
It is with much sadness and regret that I announce the cancellation of our 10th anniversary Silver Celebration event. The year has just become too uncertain for further planning, and the event organizers just can’t continue to work forward in this environment. We are planning to re organise the event for early 2022 and, hopefully, more positive times.
We are now going to fully refund all ticket holders. The Club will cover all expenses associated with booking and admin fees. We'll activate the refund tomorrow. You'll receive an email notification from the company Sticky Tickets, and monies will then be reverse paid onto the card you initially used to purchase tickets.
My thanks go to the other organizers – Imam Wahyudi, and Clare Savage – for their tireless work, and also to Vespa Australia for their support. We are already in discussion with the venue, Elvis, and Vespa Australia to ensure that all the elements can be drawn together again at that future event. The Vespa door prize will also remain available. We hope to see you all there in 2022.

Important Update:
It is still scheduled for Sunday 15 August, and more than 160 tickets have been sold, even in these uncertain times. Under the current restrictions limiting indoor events to 100 it cannot run. However, we are expecting an announcement regarding the easing of those restrictions soon. You can still buy a ticket to the event until Monday 09 August.
We will be emailing all ticket holders on Tuesday 10 August advising whether the event is going ahead.
If we need to cancel the event, that will be it for this year. We’ll refund all ticket holders in full and, when we recover some resilience, plan something for next year. Fingers crossed, and thank you for your support.

Due to the current Covid emergency, the 10th Anniversary Silver Celebration has been postponed to Sunday August 15th. It has taken some time to re-book between the venue, entertainment, and Vespa Australia. The new date is the only one possible that enables all the elements of the day to come together again. There over 160 tickets currently sold, there are a lot of people to reorganize, but it will still be a great day!

I have a ticket. Do I have to do anything? No, your ticket has been transferred to the new date, and the ticketing site, Sticky Tickets, has notified you personally and issued you with a fresh ticket. See you there.
Will the door prize still be a Vespa Pic Nic from Vespa Australia? Yes.
Can I still buy a ticket for the new date? Yes, the ticketing site is still open. http://tks.im/vcom
I have a ticket, but I can’t make August 15. Can I get a refund? Yes. Send a return email to admin@vespaclubmelbourne.com.au, requesting a refund, and we will fully refund your ticket via the ticket site immediately.
What will happen if August 15 also becomes unsuitable due to ongoing restrictions? We’ll cancel the event for 2021 and issue a full refund to all ticket holders.

Silly me has purchased 2 member tix to this event.
Forgetting that I had purchased a ticket a week ago, I purchased another one today. Strange that the booking system allowed me to purchase 2 tix using the same VCoM membership for both transactions ... ???
Anyway, I only need 1 tix.
