….AKA fancy a drink after a hard days work?
WHY?
Thought it would be nice to meet up with other riders who commute to/from the city for a relaxing drink before heading off home. Italian style of course! It would be even nicer if our fellow riders from the 'burbs' were there to join us as well :-)
WHERE?
I have spoken to Carlo Grossi, Manager of Ombra and he was very enthusiastic about the idea and looking forward to turning it into a bit of an event!
HERE'S THE PLAN
- meet at OMBRA around 5-ish
- park your Vespa out front - exact place TBC depending on numbers.
- enjoy an aperitivo - grab a drink (doesn't have to be alcoholic) and enjoy a few light complementary Italian snacks (4.30pm to 6.30pm)
- order larger meals if you feel like something more substantial
- don't forget to invite your partners, friends, family and or work colleagues to come and admire the Vespa's and create a sceene
- see how things pan out, numbers, weather, ambiance, budgets and take it from there. …….go home, stay-on, burgers, fish & chips, pizza, gelato…...
RSVP
As soon as you can please, so we can give Carlo the heads up.
HOMEWORK - whats an aperitivo?

Hope you all had fun, catch up soon xx
No Problems at all Julie and Greg. Thanks for letting us know.
We did have a great night. Thanks everyone for coming along. We had 9 Vespi, which I'm really happy with for my first attempt at organising an event. Catch you al soon.
Apologies for my bad photography - I did not get a pic of all of us in the end.
Hi Peter
Julie and I are also an apology for tonight as something else has come up. I am sure you will all have a great night.
Non problem Ross; don't work too hard. Catch you on Sunday.
Andiamo!
Looking forward to having an aperitivo or aperativi with you all this evening.
A little cold out there, but the winds are dying down and should continue to do so throughout the day. As far as parking goes, Carlo is happy for us to park out front - he will move the tables to accommodate the Vespa's if required.
Ciao
Pietro
Excellent idea Peter...see you there
