Mods Vs Rockers - Sun 11 Nov - after breakfast

The Vespa Club of Melbourne has been invited to attend the annual Mods vs Rockers Ride, organised by the Melbourne Crusaders Scooter Club, and the 59ers Motorcycle Club.

We will be aiming for a big presence in support of the event and the charity Ozchild.

Ride: We will meet as usual at the Melbourne breakfast in Abbotsford, MAP. new riders welcome leaving at approximately 10.30 am to arrive at the Brighton Baths meeting point at 11 am. Bring on your gear - are you a mod, rocker, mocker, or just who you are?

Ride together, let's have fun

    20 riders today out in the sunshine.  Pity about the congestion in Fitzroy Street but we all made it to Brighton Baths...including some newbies... thanks to everyone who joined in the fun day.... sorry I couldn't stick around but pleased to hear you all had a good time...and go girls in the tug o war...you did us proud...

    Route to the assembly point from the Abbotsford Convent via Punt Road to St Kilda to Brighton..

    Note.... if you are travelling from the east. Breach Road / Nepean Hwy road closures to to a triathalon : Beach Road closed from Mentone to the the south of the bay.

    So disappointed I can't come to this event this year...daughter No. 1's Bridal Shower to attend instead....!!

    I have a whole collection of Rockabilly style 1950's full circle skirts, (& the associated foofy petticoats!) so if anyone would like to borrow one for the ride, please let me know! They are most elastic waists, so one size fits most.
