The dates for this year's Melbourne Italian Festa have been confirmed, and the Club has once again been formally invited by the organizers to participate.

It may be a little bit different this year as it will be two day event! but it's back at the Exhibition Buildings, Carlton. As the event draws nearer we'll be able to tell you exactly how we will take part.

The information below is for last year's (one day) event.

This is an important public event for the Club, and all members are invited to be part of it.  We need 20+ scooters for display at the event. Oh, and the Italian community just loves an old classic bike, so get yours out. Present your Vespa and bring a club leg-shield banner if you have one.

We are sorry about the late notice, but the Festa only began to be organized recently by our old friend Eddie Rinaldo, who has personally invited the Club to attend and display. Just as we did for many years in the past. Note the new venue is the Royal Exhibition Buildings. While we know that the club appears on the official program, the venue security has only just approved us on the grounds.

We have to arrive all together and bump in as one group at 10.30 AM. Venue security won't allow in any later entrants. You must only ride your Vespa at walking pace on the grounds, and follow the direction of venue security

Meet from 9.30 am at Vespa House Corner (Johnston & Palmer Collingwood. MAP

Depart at 10.15 sharp for Carlton: one big convoy.  Arrive and bump in at 10.30 AM

We have yet to have our display area confirmed. We will also confirm that the entry gate is safe for a large group of Vespa to stop.

  • Vouchers will be distributed with compliments and thanks of the event organizers.

What a great day out!

You'll meet many people too - so many conversations to be had about Vespa!
