Great ride to the Geelong breakfast this morning and always lovely to catch up with the Geelong chapter plus a few new people...
Welcome to Mark H who came along for the first time and joined on the spot and we look forward to you joining us for a ride soon.
Dennis from the HOG riders club also joined us and has invited the club to be involved in their Toy Run from Geelong to Queenscliffe on Dec 9.
Thanks Tufan for leading the group for a nice leisurely ride to Barwon Heads, and we won't hold it against you for losing the Pres and Sec for a brief moment..lol...
Wonderful day yet again and thanks to everyone who joined in.
Cheers Julie
I'd mentioned the breakfast to our new Mayor. He unfortunately can't make it this time, but maybe another...at least to come along and kick some tyres. BUT I am hoping we can get him to meet and greet the 100 Riders Around the Bay charity run... let's chat about it on Sunday
There will be some Melbourne members traveling to Geelong again next Sunday.
It's a good run at that time of morning, no cars, and the 'open road' ride is only half an hour.
The forecast is for 30 degrees, so it's recommended you finally take that lining out of your jacket.
I am sure there will be a ride after breakfast.... stay tuned!
Details below - if you are coming please log your attendance under the the event listing
Here is the usual meet info:
Melbourne ride down
Meeting at the United Servo in Brooklyn, Geelong Road.
Cnr Grieve Parade and Geelong Road.
This is the last servo before entering the freeway to Geelong. Look for the Hertz and United signs.
If you want to ride together then be here in time to leave at 8 AM sharp. It's a short half hour ride to the outer suburbs of Geelong.
Slower bikes, and classic bikes, (80 kph) will be looked after and escorted - you won't be left on your own.. There is also a backroads route via Werribee, Lara, and Little River which can be taken if there is enough interest.
Be great to do a ride along the coast somewhere after breakfast...!!
If it is going to be 30 degrees I will defenite take off something......
Going to be 30 degrees next Sunday...whoohoo might have to finally take the liner out of my riding jacket.....
