A Blue Bay Ride to the north western side Mornington Peninsula. It's a tour around the Bay to taking in Crib Point and Hastings for views across to French Is, and then up to Tooradin for lunch at The Old Jetty Cafe and Tearooms. All up, only about 200 km round. AKA the 'Pelican Poo' ride.

This ride is suitable for all bikes and rider experience, but there are a couple of unavoidable 100 kph short stretches. It's really just a nice cruise folks, to see some blue water and pelican poo. This ride is weather dependent > may BOM smile upon us.

Meeting again from 8.30 am for coffee at:

Station Pier Port Melbourne. At Mr Hobson cafe, park right out the front.  <MAP>

Depart at 9.30 AM

What's in Tooradin? It's a fishing village so some nice photography and a quaint lunch venue there. Blue water. Pelican poo.

Tourist info: "Flowing through Tooradin is the tidal channel of Sawtells Inlet which meanders through pleasant parkland north of the highway. South of the highway, the inlet flows into Western Port. The eastern shore of the inlet caters for water enthusiasts and visitors with a boat ramp, jetty, a reserve with picnic and BBQ facilities, a boardwalk and a coastal lookout which provides panoramic views over the surrounding mudflats and mangroves. A wooden footbridge spans the inlet just south of the highway, with the sculpture of a Dolphin fish located on the western shore near the Tooradin Hotel"

We'll head back (via a secret back roads route to Frankston) to Cafe Moto in Carrum for a final coffee farewell.

Hi Vespa friends. Is it safe to assume there'll be a meeting point at Frankston Pier for us southerners? I'm guessing some time around 10-10.15? Cheers, Paul aka Mr Dromana 😂
