Little did we know that we had a "famous" comedian in the club!  Gavin has been travelling the countryside and interstate but is returning to Melbourne to do a gig and would love us to come along. An event of The Melbourne Comedy Festival.

“Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the most mediocre of them all?”

In his debut MICF show, Gavin Lind storms the stage at the ripe age of 41. No, not old. Just ripe.

A fresh face on the Melbourne comedy scene, Gavin performs five shows only as he explores life’s rocky road. Being middle-aged, gay and married is difficult enough without having a mildly annoying vegetarian accent. Which makes picking holes and kicking down the ordinary lives of the rest of the world Gavin’s survival mechanism as he tries to validate his existence.

Do all or any of the unique attributes by which he is defined (by himself and by others) really make him different to everyone else? And with no more hopes and aspirations, does it really matter anyway? As he navigates his way to old age, Gavin (rather annoyingly) realises that not only is he merely committed to mediocrity, but he also wants to be the best at it.

This show is presented as part of Comedy Out West. Yes, that means crossing the Westgate Bridge…
