Let's ride. Let's have some fun in this dreary winter. This is short run out of the city through Broady to the historic town of Clarkefield and then to the big Gisborne Market. Let's get out of the city, and we'll get you home mid afternoon just in case the weather turns sour. We've done this ride before and it's a goodie.Total 140 kms, back country roads all the way.
Tempted to develop a ride to Mt Macedon or Hanging Rock, but will leave the option to finer weather.
Meet in the morning at Fletcher Street, on the big Essendon roundabout. There are three cafe's there - recommended is Johny's. Departing at 9.30 am.
Suitable for all types of bikes and rider experience. New members and inexperienced riders - come along, we will look after you.
We'll ride through some beautiful country, stop on the way at the old bridge that featured in the original Mad Max film, and then to the small town of Clarkefield to admire the old Coach & Horses Inn and Cobb and Co stables. We'll have a late morning coffee there - perhaps even a sherry, before moving on to Gisborne. There's a huge monthly 
market on the first Sunday of each month. Lots to see and buy and we'll have lunch there too. Stay as long as you like or weather permitting.
I'll then take you on my very secret and excellent back roads route to Sunbury. Then to Bulla, where we can do a bit of plane spotting. After that we can either take our same Pascoe Vale Rd or do a quick freeway ride to finish at Essendon again.

Big day out Pammie and nearly lost foxy loxy, hope with some repairs Maria has her fox tail flying high again... glad you made it home safely...and thanks everyone who came along for a nice relaxed ride today... haha 20 bikes and we thought it was just going to be a small group... amazing what the sun can do... hope everyone else got home safely also....
and yes i did go lol... what a hot shower and panadol can do... another great ride with this great club :-)
