8484900278?profile=originalMeeting at Vespa House Collingwood from 10 am. Coffee and light snacks available from Clem at Palmer and Johnston cafe.

Departing for Lygon Street at 11.15 am.

This is an important high profile day for the club. We are in association with the Italian Consulate, Italian Chamber of Commerce, Italian Institute of Culture, City of Melbourne, and directly with the Italian community.

We need 20 scooters for this event, and maintain the numbers throughout the day as people come and go.

All members are welcome and encouraged to come along - a great day out with family, and your scooter will be a feature at the entrance to the event. Classic bikes are especially of interest to the Italian community, so get yours out of the garage, and bring it along too. Polish it up and add Italian flavour!

Incentive. The organisers provide us with something in return - complimentary food and drink vouchers for the stalls there. No doubt, we will also retreat as usual to one of the cafes near the event for food and wine.

You will meet lots of people too - there will be many conversations to be had about Vespa! Come along in the morning to be part of the grand arrival. You don't have to stay all day, and later arrivals are welcome too.

This year we will be organising some activities to engage the community as it arrives and connect them to the Club.

The initial group will leave together from Vespa House corner (Johnston & Palmer, Collingwood) at 11.15 AM - arriving at Lygon Street 11.30 AM. Come along for a coffee at Clem's cafe, Clem makes make great coffee and will prepare some appetising snacks for you as well. Then we'll ride up together. It would be great to have 20 scooters on this ride up to create a grand entrance.

This is the premier Italian event in Melbourne.

Our Vespas will be the welcoming entrance to the event, and form an 'avenue' for pedestrian entry. We have the outside squares on either side of the entrance.

Thank you so much everyone for participating in today's Italian Festa event what a great turnout with at least 35 vespas on show. It is great exposure for the club and it is amazing how many people you get to talk to to hear their stories about vespas and also introduce them to our club.  I had a couple of wonderful meet ups today with people I haven't seen for many many years.  Big thanks to Michael, Cychaul who put up a $200 tab at Clems for breakfast and thank you to Clem for your wonderful service and delicious food.  We also raised $130 from pics on our vespas from the keen vespa lovers which will go to our Cambodia KAD Charity account.  Thank you all once again.

    Cheers Julie
