There are two organized rides planned for the Friday 24th. They will be repeated the next day with the addition of three more, making five organized rides leaving from Apex park on the Saturday. Of course, if you prefer not to take part in organized rides, you can plan your own ride with friends around these routes at any time. GO TO SATURDAY RIDE-OUTS >

They are capped at 40 Vespa.

Some suggested short and longer self-directed excursion rides around Wangaratta you can easily do with friends.

1. Glenrowan - 16 kms

The township of Glenrowan may be most famous as the site of the final siege and capture of Ned Kelly and his gang in 1880. Their story is preserved in the townships attractions, museums, and historic walk. However, there is much more to Glenrowan than Ned and his armour. The town also features plenty of venues to eat and drink. Worth a ride. Easy back roads 30 km roundtrip. MAP

This historical town is the centre of the Milawa Gourmet Region. The VCoA organizers and other early arrivals are meeting over dinner at the Precinct Bar. Vespa Club Brisbane will also be in town. You can join us or drop by.

7:00 – 9:00 PM  EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION: at the Precinct Bar & Restaurant, 60-62 Faithfull Street, Wangaratta.

A low key day focussed upon arrival and registration. We're expecting everyone to pass through Apex Park over the day and our aim is to complete nearly all registrations today.

You need: Your event ticket and ID. A wristband - GOLD or BLUE - if attending an organized ride.

What is the venue for Australian Vespa Days Wangaratta?

The main meeting point will be Apex Park on the river in Wangaratta. All rides will leave from Apex Park, and it will also be the location of the Registration, and the Show and Shine Breakfast event on Saturday morning. The Gala Dinner on Saturday evening will be held at the Quality Hotel Wangaratta 'Gateway'. See the Program link for more information about locations.

Is it only for Vespa?

Yes, it's an official event celebrating the brand.  It's for all Vespa - new, old, automatic, geared, modern, classic. If your scooter has a Vespa badge then this event is for you.

I ride a Piaggio made X8, X9, Beverly, Medley, Fly, MP3, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Gilera, Derbi, Scarabeo etc.. Can I come?

UPDATE 14.02.2023: There are still some good accommodation options popping up on booking.com and airbnb. Keep checking.

Quality Hotel Gateway still has some rooms reserved under the password 'Vespa' when you call.

There’s a good variety of accommodation in Wangaratta across all price ranges. And much of it is right in the centre of town. Enter ‘Wangaratta Accommodation’ into Google Maps to bring up your choices. Don’t forget the excellent Airbnb options around the district too.

Our advice is to book now at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.

Here’s a couple of recommendations.
