This ride is definitely happening. Good weather forecast (after the rains during the week).  New members who've yet to ride with us, all members, suitable for all Vespa too. Bring your classic! This is a short city ride, slow, and with lots of stops for photos. It's always a fun ride, and usually attracts a crowd.

Melbourne once had a wonderful Yarra Trail winding all the way from the city to Heidelberg, the bushland home of the Heidelberg art school.  It has since been cut by highways and freeways, but most of the sections are still there. Join us for a ride along the trail. It's suitable for all Vespa and rider experience. There will be plenty of stops along the way so 'bring your Kodak'. This ride is a slow one and is suitable for all Vespa and rider experience. This ride is often described as like being in the country even though we're riding through the heart of the city.

Meeting from 10 am for coffee at

CAFE EXCELLO 99 Spring St, Melbourne or the cafe around the side if Excello is full <MAP>

Park around the Parliament Station stairs, Hotel Windsor corner, or across the road with Adam. There's an alternative cafe in Lt Collins St just behind Excello if it's full. That's where we'll probably be.

 Depart at 10.30 AM

We'll then travel through the city past Flinders St Railway Stn, to meet the Yarra. Unfortunately, the boatshed view is closed for the the Moomba preparations, so we'll sail down along the Yarra, stopping at Little Audrey still skipping away, the Yarra Boulevard. Have you ever seen the Yarra at full capacity? We might divert divert for a look at Dights Falls in full splendour after those flooding rains of the week. Then old Heidelberg which still features an original stretch of trail in all its dilapidated grandeur. We'll then finish at the Ivanhoe golf course cafe for a lunch and drink. Great view.

Of course there's dinner that night at Noi Pizzeria in Coburg too (see the separate event listing) for a big day out!

Please join us.

Recce drive today. Unfortunately the boathouse view next to the Princes Bridge will be closed for the Moomba setup preparations, so after passing Flinders St station we'll sail down the river and eventually get to Little Audrey.
