Four days of riding and a 3 night stay away - fantastic riding through South Gippsland, Wilson's Prom and beyond.
Our base will be the township of Meeniyan. I've done a deal with the Motel there and booked out the whole place with a 20% discount off the advertised high season rates for three nights. Meeniyan is a small town promoting itself as a gateway to Wilsons Prom. Apart from our Motel it has a great pub, a number of cafes and restaurants, as well as an IGA supermarket and a petrol station. It ticks all the boxes for a group ride.

The event picture is of Betty Nyguen. This picture was taken on a ride through South Gippsland 10 years ago. Sadly, Betty passed away earlier this year. This ride is in her memory.
Day 1 - Grand Ridge Road to Meeniyan
Accommodation - The Meeniyan Motel
The Motel has a spacious central outdoor recreation area and BBQ, and we'll have whole place to ourselves. With the room kitchen facilities and a local IGA supermarket, we can easily accommodate local public holiday closures, on-site meals and partying.
"Just across the road from The Great Southern Rail Trail and a short drive to beaches, wineries and other local attractions, Meeniyan Motel features free WiFi, lush gardens, free on-site parking and a variety of room types. Guests enjoy an outdoor kitchen with communal BBQ facilities. Located next to the local pub, Motel Meeniyan is within 5 minutes' walk of shops, cafes and dining options. It is central to all South Gippsland attractions. Meeniyan Motel is 30 minutes' drive from Wilsons Prom National Park. The property is ideally located for exploring the Great Southern Rail Trail Bike Track, which is located next to the property."

Hi all. I have just put up the room configurations and prices for the Meeniyan Motel for this 3 night event. Claim a room now if you want or start negotiating share deals. It will be a great weekend.
Yes it's a bit expensive, but this is a 20% discount from high season prices.

This ride is firming up. I have booked out the whole Meeniyan Motel - 3 nights over the Melb Cup Weekend. They have given us a 20% discount. It will be the base for rides across Sth Gippsland - including Wilsons Prom - on the Sunday and Monday. I will put the room options up next week for booking. The emphasis will need to upon sharing rooms if you can. But if you are IN now, please put your name down under this event as interested. Very exciting riding coming up.
