Hi all ..  A bit of history ride to Greytown. A unknown piece of Victoria. There is not much left of the WW2 POW camp but it is a place of interest. The outlay of the camp is still there plus other bits of the camp.

Leaving from 8.30am Griffiths Street / Edwards Lake car park Reservoir, travelling there will take us via Sunbury / Wildwood Rd with a fuel and toilet stop at Lancefield. Then travel the Lancefield Road to Tooborac, short ride south of Heathcote to the Nagambie Rd turn off, then 27km to Graytown. Will stay for a hour or so, back to Heathcote for fuel and lunch, then travel back home. NOTE: there is no town, fuel and anything else in Greytown.

Total travel to Greytown is 139km approx. Should take about 2.1/2 hours (one way). Travelling back home via the Northern Hwy to Wallan then back down to Melbourne.

When travelling to Graytown a group speed of 80kph followed at all times. All roads are sealed.

Pack your wet weather gear & a snack - just in case.

If the weather is bad .. then the ride will only travel to Lancefield for lunch.

Will be a great ride ... hope to see you for a great day out ...Squeak
