Join us for our Mornington Peninsula Monthly Breakfasts. All members welcome!
Venue location: Hobson Café, 1489 Point Nepean Road, Rosebud. This is a new monthly breakfast location for us however a few of us checked it out recently, whilst on a Vespa ride and we loved it!
Histrory and fun fact: According to historical records, this cafe was originally built in 1957 by William Albert Snashall, a general contractor from Rosebud. it was operated as a shop and a factory for a manufactoring company. It was sold in the 1960s and run as an antique dealership. Later is housed cafes until the final cafe it is today. Design wise it was "styled with a distinctive art deco appearance" however "the structure is recognised as a mid local century place under the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme".
**Fun Fact: The building was actually built by my grandfather and I remember visiting it as a youngster with my parents and having a milkshake. I remember a side counter (no longer there) and an open space at the front of the building, which my father said was used for dances.

Ride afterwards: There will be a ride following our breakfast on the Mornington Peninsula. We will also stop somewhere for lunch. These details will be posted when they have been finalised.

Hi all, my plan for lunch after our ride this Sunday is at the Red Hill Baker in Balnarring. A Jazz band will be playing there between
1 and 4 pm, which would be cool, and I'll need to book a table if we want to be inside. So let's know if your staying for lunch and I'll book it tomorrow morning around 9 am. (I've been told it will book out tomorrow given more people around this long weekend) Cheers 🛵🛵🛵🛵
