"Sages Café is an inclusive cafe and provides hospitality training and employment opportunities for people with disability".

"Situated in the historic Baxter Barn, Sages café highlights the excellence of local produce from the Mornington Peninsula. With our ethos grounded upon sustainability, we work to utilise the highest quality herbs, vegetables and fruits grown on the property of Sages Cottage Farm. This vast property allows our guests an abundance of gardens to peruse, while sipping on our delicious coffee. Our focus on community integration is shown through our relationship with Wallara, through the employment of our staff with disabilities. Our delicious menu is inspired by our farm and stands to our commitment to illustrating simple, beautiful and quality food".

Ride afterwards:

  1. Our first stop will be the Mt Eliza Pottery Studio, a huge five-minute ride away in Mt Eliza. Website: Mt Eliza Pottery Studio

This Studio is run by Manuela Ferstl (a club member) and is located at her home address in Mt Eliza. Manuela's plan is to run a short clay making workshop. Members will have the opportunity to make 3 simple clay Vespa decorations, along the lines of a Christmas or other decoration.

Members will be given a short demonstration of the technique to cover three variations of decorations. Depending on numbers booked in, there will be either one or two, 30-minute sittings for 12 people maximum per session. Therefore, numbers will be capped at 24.

Manuela will then glaze and fire these pieces in her gas kiln located on the property and will advise when ready for collection, otherwise she will bring to the next breakfast, for members to collect. (There is no cost to members for this activity).
