The 6th November 2011 will see the third Victorian Mods v Rockers charity fund raiser held by the 59 Motorcycle Club and the Melbourne Crusaders Scooter Club on behalf of the charity Ozchild. The last two years have each seen an amazing congregation of over two hundred motorcycles and scooters assemble for what can only be described as a motorcycling and Scooter extravaganza. The inaugural Mods v Rockers day in 2009 raised $2,000 for Ozchild, in 2010 it was an even bigger success raising $5,000.
In the modern tradition of co-operation that sees all two wheel riders happy to share the road together, a seemingly unlikely union of hundreds of motorcyclists and scooterists will once again gather to enjoy breakfast together at the Brighton Baths, after which there will be the traditional Tug-o-War between the traditionally attired Mods and Rockers.
The big two wheel ride from the Brighton Baths to the Kustom Lane Gallery in Hawthorn will then take place, where on arrival there will be a BBQ, Bands, much merriment and plenty of opportunities to take photographs of the impressive array of motorcycles, scooters and meet their Leather Jacketed and Parka clad owners.
Admission $10 - All proceeds to the registered charity "Ozchild"

Steve Bardsley
