We're on display again.
Meeting from 9.30 AM at Vespa House
Departing Vespa House at 10.30 AM - one big convoy to the Royal Exhibition Buildings.
Bump in at Royal Exhibition Buildings at our designated gateway at 10.45 AM
This is a member-only display. You must bump in with the club at this time as event security will close the gate after us.
You must only ride your Vespa at walking pace on the grounds, and follow the direction of venue security to and from the designated display area.
Our desinated parking area is adjacent to the Vespa Australia stand.
This is an important public event for the Club, and all members are invited to be part of it.
We need 20+ scooters for display at the event. Oh, and the Italian community just loves an old classic bike, so get yours out. Present your Vespa and bring a club leg-shield banner if you have one.
The club is also part of an indoor display of classic Vespa with the event celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vespa. https://www.italianfesta.com.au/
There's also a raffle - the prize is a new 80th anniversary Vespa.
The Festa is organized by our old friend Eddie Rinaldo, who has personally invited the Club to attend and display again. Our presence on the event grounds is covered by the club's Public Liability Insurance.

What a fabulous day it was. We had around 50 vespas joining this event and no wonder with the gorgeous sunshine. I wish to thank you all for your participation and in particular to David Atkinson for co-ordinating with members for the 8 decades of Vespa display in prime postion inside the REB and those members who volunteered their beautiful vespas. Also Wes Branchflower for transporting the older ones. We also had members from Mornington, Geelong and Bendigo attend which just goes to show how the Club brings peope together. Well done everyone and sorry none of us won the beautiful 80th Anniversary that was the top prize in the Raffle.
I'll be looking for 10 volunteers tomorrow morning at Vespa House, to depart earlier than the main group. We'll leave at 10.15 AM and scout ahead - we'll pave the way through the security checkpoint, and wait for the main group to arrive and direct them into the designated parking area. And we'll have to pack them in! Hope you can help out.
Members. If you're registered to join us tomorrow at the Melbourne Italian Festa then don't forget to put on your club leg-shield banner. It's the most effective way to promote our club. Also remember that it will be a hot day, so pack a hat and sunfcreen and.... a small camping chair id you can manage that too! See you in Collingwood tomorrow morning!
It's going to be a warm day so please remember to bring everything to protect yourself.
Don't forget it's party time so bling your vespa up for the birthday celebration.
Most importantly, have you bought your raffle ticket?
See you all on Sunday.
I may roll up to the starting point to say hello. I will not be able to attend. Will be on the camel 🐫
Hi everyone
If you are intending to join us at the event, please mark your attendance so we know how many coffee vouchers to advise the Event Organisers who offer these to say thank you for participating in this wonderful event.
Also please bling up your vespa in party mode as we will continue to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vespa.
Cheers Julie
Dear Members
The Italian Festa have contacted the Club to advise that this year they will be including the 80th anniversary of vespa as a highlight of their event. They would like to have a display of vespas from each decade starting from the 50's. This will require a bump in on Friday evening and bump out out late Sunday evening or early Monday morning. These vespas will be inside the Exhibition Building in a secure location. If you are interested in displaying your vespa for this event please contact me at admin@vespaclubmelbourne.com.au to discuss further details.
Cheers Julie
