Our summer season, gelato gatherings continues with a get yourself to Gelato Messina in Richmond. Gelato Messina started in 2002, when founder Nick Palumbo moved from Adelaide to open a gelato store in Sydney. For over 20 years they've been working out how to make the best gelato on the planet. We think they're pretty close. Their recipe book has certainly been an inspiration for my own Gelato Adeventure, a bit like Vespa adventuring - a perfect match - Gelato + Vespa !
Sally has kindly agreed to host the next few Gatherings while I take a short break to attend a close Vespa friend's wedding on the Gold Coast and do some adventuring for VWD Brisbane 2025!!
About the Gelato Gathering.
The idea came out of desire to ride every day and to enjoy the longer daylight and great riding weather over summer. The initial concept wavered between Wednesday and Thursday and this year we'll stick to Wednesday and if the weather forecast and radar show as horific and dangerous, we may cancel at short notice. Also there has been interest in pizza rides of the same nature. Please feel free to put up a ride to your local favourite, no need to consult, just do it !!
Gelato locations to be considered this season include: Gelato UNOU Seaford, Gelato Lab Black Rock, Luna Blu Elsterwick, Piccolina Lt Bourke St cnd Hardware Lane Melbourne, Messina Richmond and gems I've been told about in Cono Gelateria near Resevoir Lake, Williamstown, Yarraville and Miinot Coburg.
