Dear Dennis  tis done...two split rings..no aerial...would take a take a tank with a heavy chain driving in reverse gear to get it off now...its the 16 inches that does it...VERY long tail..and mine is white...a white, silver blue fox tail...will be showing it off on Sunday...till then...

keep warm, dry and upright my friend.  Paul  Pancrazio     Toooooot !

Ditto...but l was not at all cold...now for my NEW Tail...Tis a white one...no colour..and l have requested a scooter attachment..don't quite know what that means...apart from the obvious...l may also attach a safety rope as a back up, and no aerial this time.

Stay warm...sun is out now..Not that you would know..you are hard at work in your home office...so apologies again for the intrusion...enough of a break..back to it Clare.   Kind regards...Paul Pancrazio   Tooooooooot !

Thanks for the link Paul! Sorry that you lost your tail....it was all fluffed waxed and steamed ready for the event too!! I am sure the driver behind wondered what this furry tail was flying towards them! Nothing worse than loosing your tail..tragic.

I was home a 7pm and needed to thaw out for a couple of hours...We just made it back in time I think!

Good day out-see you on the next trip!

Dear Mike..thank you...this www address     http://www.yaesu.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=179_219&products_id=1175   has a mounting bracket for an aerial...that mounts onto the bracket you have displayed in your photograph....you could mount a fibre glass whip aerial on this bracket....simple solution would be to purchase two and purchase two rather tall CB aerials..the latter are not so expensive either.  Must have a look at yourt store when l finish this email..l have used Beedspeed, Scooter works USA, Motor sports scooters, Sip on line store Germany, Cafe Press Australia for scooter things such as shirts , bags and mugs to list a few items...and SL printing in the UK for flags / pennants and such things..

Most interesting....kind rgards:  Paul Pancrazio...

Concur Mike about the later release of the Baldet mascot...in the 60's ....the flying saucer was prior to the Mod scene in the UK..around 1957 l understood...  Like your rear mud flap too...have a very similar one...but larger and without the word Vespa printed...almost touches the ground...have one like yours on the front mud guard...If you are going to acquire aerials...let me know how you mount them. My rear one is about 1.5 ft tall and l made a special bracket to mount in on so that l may open my rear top box without the aerial scraping its sides...Bracket is bolted betwixt part of the chrome frame that holds the rear top box to the rear of the scooter....looks great with the fox tail and the flag...l have ordered another small pennant style flag for the flying saucer aerial on the front...this does have the word Vespa printed on it...pictures of Vespa scooters also in black and white.

Well done Mike..Kind regards again:  Paul Pancrazio   Vroooooooom TOOOOT and flutter, flutter.

Hi Paul

The Comet mascot on my front mudguard was designed by Baldet Meteor in the 60's and became popular with the Mods mainly for Vespa's and the Jaguar was the Lambretta mascot of choice...from memory and I could be wrong but I thought the flying saucer came out in the late 50's before the Mods came on the scene although not as yet having seen your mascot flying saucer, as it may be a later model, either way I like to see them on scoots and its a matter of getting the right balance with the styling of choice.Cheers Mike
