Funny thing

I have a ruined head threads as an ‘old school fix’ the original base but off one of these plugs

is still in the head / thus just screw in a modern plug and away you go!

Very cool

I have a few boxed unused NOS KLG platinum for my Doug already

they are for display purpose only

as I will be using moderns for actual running of the bike

where did you find these - mine was on a flea market stall

Hi Mark

How's things?

Mark I was wondering if you had any leads on Peter Western? As I haven't had any luck yet  getting in contact,I would really like to contact him and find out the history of his old VNB.

I see from a quick look on the net the Raleigh Britain used cloth and shellac 1940s and 50s (also common on bicycles here)

I wonder if the brains trust of the VVC would have the answer of factory
Spec

I had a weird black throttle cable on mine with a metal u bend, on the carb end - I suspect it was someone reusing a push bike rear derailer cable as a throttle cable: I have kept it but I will not use, it's a bit too chewed

Hi Mark

Bob called by on his way home to drop off the stands, thank you so much, wow you really have put some extra work into these ones... I am sure they will go like hotcakes again.  Looks like everyone had a great weekend at the rally and are all arriving home safe and sounds.  Glad you got to meet some of our members and many others from Melbourne.

Cheers Julie
