The newly established Vespa Club of Australia recently reached another milestone, holding its first Annual General Meeting.

Delegates from the current three clubs attended - Vespa Club of Melbourne, Vespa Club Sydney, and Vespa Club Brisbane, representing about 700 Vespa riders. The Vespa Club Brisbane was formally welcomed into the National Club, and it was reported that a further club may soon be forming.

The meeting received a number of reports about progress over the past 10 months, including the:-

  • Legal establishment and registration of the Club.
  • Establishment of communications and presence on the web and social media.
  • Recognition by Piaggio Italy, and formal inclusion in the Vespa World Club.
  • Access to Piaggio trade marks including the club 'cog'
  • The VCOA delegation to Vespa World Days Belfast, and the establishment of world networks.
  • Planning for the Vespa World Days in Hungary 2019, and Bali 2020.

Now that the hard work of forming a National Club is all done, there is so much more to come. The VCoA is here to stay.

The Minutes of the AGM, including all tabled reports have been loaded into the Member's Room group if you want to see more detail.
