Hi Guys

In looking at the clearance for putting on a larger/new exhaust I noticed the bottom hose near the exhaust had been rubbing up against the side protection bar bracket causing a small cut in the hose...I have tapped it up to try and protect it from further damage but I will have to get a new replacement hose but I don't know what it is called....can anyone shed any light on it plus where I might get hold of a replacement hose.

cheers Mike

Hi Guys

as mentioned the bottom hose on my water pump has been damaged by the rear crash bar bracket rubbing up against it leaking coolant.I have been trying to track down this hose and get a replacement,so far I have made contact with 4 Vespa suppliers, gone online to source from major suppliers o/s have actually had 3 different hose's sent to me,none of them are the right hose and looking at some online technical drawings it has been hopeless in trying to identify it and get a part number....so Im still on the search anyone got any ideas.Im also mentioning this in case anyone else has a problem with their water pump hoses they are not growing on threes to get hold of.

cheers Mike

Hi Guys

I have tracked that hose pipe Im after on the SIP web site went to order it but message came up with basket not yet reach its minimum order value,ok I thought chance to buy some other bling...got my order up to $103 and it still came up with not yet reached the minimum order value....so now would you believe a $7 dollar purchase has turned into $103 and still not yet reached the minimum spend level....does anyone know what the minimum order value is set at for online orders from SIP.

cheers Mike

Give GPS Imports a call they might have one you can go and pick up.

Hi Brett

thanks...I sent Brenton a email on this as I purchased my FACO rear crash bars from GPS but he hasn't replied in responding on wether he has stock or if its available.

cheers Mike

Agreed, I call them, it speeds up things that way.

Trying to explain the part you want over the phone without knowing whats its called or having a part number to quote...makes me sound like a raving lunatic...and I end up getting all tied up in knots...and not much help to the guy on the other end of the phone

so I send pics of the part Im looking for and hope a simple explanation works.

Thanks Tony...I have sent vespaspares UK a email.

cheers Mike

Mike you could start a whole new game of Scooter Tag based on "name that part" All the techie riders would love this!

Hi Martin

yeah good idea..there use to be a show on the TV called " name that tune" and the contestants use to say I'll name that tune in 4 bars etc and the lowest no of bars that guessed the tune correctly won...now name this part ...its the the small round digit that goes in the big cog and its sort of black with a little bit of red at the end.

cheers Mike

"Name that Tune", yes I remember that show. There was also "Name my Line" where you had to guess their job. Now for your show "Name my Hose", ummm......

Hooray all sorted

I have just got word from Peterstevens that they have the hose part Im looking for in store...Im going to pick it up.

Mike
