Hi Members
Our club arrangement with Famous Insurance has now unfortunately ended. I have just received this message from them today (see below). They will honour current policies, but there won't be any renewal offer.
As Insurance is so competitive these days, you are advised to 'shop around' for a new policy that suits you and your scooter but Shannons is highly recommended by many in the scooter scene.

Good afternoon Julie
Thanks for the email.
Yes Famous Insurance Agency was not able to renew the contract with RACQ and have converted the business into a brokerage.
That will mean though that the scooter policies will not be offered renewal terms and alternative cover will need to be found when the policy falls due( Expiry date).
RACQ will continue to honour the current policies up to the expiry date and will continue to manage the claims.
Regards
Andy

Hi Julie
Season's greetings.
Is it fair to assume that the club won't be able to sort out any new insurance arrangements in the next month or so?
Cheers
Dom
Hi Dom. Not in the immediate future I’m afraid.
Shannons is recommended widely in the Scooter scene.
You could try RACQ insurance directly.
But we hope you shop around.
We’ll be putting some work into this in the new year but it will take time to get something.
Greg
I have had several messages from members regarding Famous Insurance.
An email telling all members that Famous was ending their relationship with VCM was sent in December last year as well as this post.
on the date of your renewal you will receive a letter from them telling you as such. It means you will need to shop around to find a new insurer. Just a couple to check out are RACV or Shannons but do your homework.
Thank you
Julie
