VicRoads has announced some changes to the Club Permit Scheme effective immediately.

  • A strong statement reaffirming the ban on vehicles for commercial gain.
  • Greater flexibility to review or remove a club from the scheme.
  • The introduction of an extra fee for the plate issue.
  • A 14 day window for holders to notify VicRoads of any change or modification to the vehicle.
  • The introduction of a 'Certificate of Approved Operations'. VicRoads can now 'impose, vary, or remove' the operating conditions of an individual club permit if it does not meet standards for registration. Eg: a vehicle with non compliant headlights, won't be able to be ridden at night, and the Certificate would need to be carried by the holder.

The flyer below is all the information we have at the moment. The fine detail has yet to be published.
