My friend has an old Vespa in his shed that he's used to play around on his farm (3hrs from Melbourne). I have been looking for a classic as a project so I'm wondering if this could be a good starting point.All the info I have at the moment is that it 'doesn't have any rust', he doesn't know much else about it other than he had to replace the gear cables to use it.He has given me a low quality video and from that I think it's around a '63 vintage GL.It looks like it's had a few layers of paint…See More

"I got mine from the bicycle shop. I found the liquid rubber (unscrew the valve and pump it up) fantastic. Ised it on the old bmw front tyre and forgot months later thought oh!! never did change that tube. Best thing about a vespa...no tyre levers..."

"I carry a can of tyre gunge and if going further afield an ex BMW CO2/plug kit - never used either. Back in the tube and tyre split rim 150 days I did frequent road side repairs..... Paul S"
